Dr. Alan Grossman will give the keynote address at a CardioDX celebration in honor of the performance of the 5,000th Corus CAD Gene Expression Test. The celebration will be held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Palo Alto, California on September 21, 2010. Dr. Grossman, cardiologist at Heart & Vascular Center of Arizona, was the first physician in the world to order the test on a patient in a private practice setting.
Corus CAD testing uses the expression levels of 23 genes and other patient characteristics in conjunction with standard clinical assessments to determine the presence of obstructive coronary artery disease in patients with stable chest pain. This new expression test allows physicians to gain information on the molecular and cellular levels, in addition to the routine assessment for CAD. Dr. Grossman has used the test extensively as a new and innovative tool for evaluating patients for obstructive coronary artery disease.
