Background:

Mary Jo has been a nurse since 1983, working in a variety places, including St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, Mayo Clinic’s hospital in Rochester, Minnesota, in Boise, Idaho, and in different hospitals in the Phoenix Valley. She has worked in critical care for the majority of her nursing career in different, including Cardiovascular ICU, post-open heart ICU, Pediatric ICU, Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, PACU, and Emergency. She has also been the Director of Nursing for a private home health care agency, and served as an Organ Donor Requestor for many years. She grew up in Minnesota and moved to Arizona in 1996.

She is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, American Nurse’s Association, Arizona Nurse’s Association, and Sigma Theta Tau.

  • 1983 College of St. Catherine, St. Paul, Minnesota, Bachelor of Arts in Nursing, Graduated Magna Cum Laude, with a minor in Technical Theater.
  • 1983 Inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, International Honor Society of Nursing
