Suzanne A. Sorof, M.D.

Suzanne A. Sorof, M.D.Dr. Sorof is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology.  Her Interests include Coronary Artery disease, Peripheral Artery Disease, Consultative Cardiology, and Women’s Preventive and Cardiology.  Originally from New York, She graduated from medical School at Baylor College of Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency there.  She then participated in a 1 year Clinical CHF research program with Dr. Doug Mann at Baylor College of Medicine.

Her Cardiology Fellowship was at the Case Western Reserve/Metrohealth medical Campus in Cleveland OHIO.  She was the chief fellow and participated in various research projects, including co-authoring a chapter on IVUS and FFR in the 3rd edition of Strategic Approaches in Coronary Interventions.

After Fellowship, she continued at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center where she participated in an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship.  As an Assistant Professor at VCU, the following year, she trained new cardiology fellows and interventional cardiology fellows in the catheterization lab.

She joined Heart and Vascular Center of Arizona because of the Quality of care delivered and dedication of each of the Cardiologists in this group.  Heart and Vascular Center of Arizona Cardiologist are dedicated to delivering the best care, in a timely manner, with the interests of the patient coming first. In addition, because we help train new cardiologists and interventional cardiologists, we are dedicated to keeping current on new techniques, trials and work extremely well with each other and other specialists in our community. 

Dr. Sorof is the Current President of the Board of Directors of the American Heart Association here in Phoenix, Arizona.  She was one of the Keynote speakers at the GO RED! For Women AHA Luncheon and has participated in various speaker engagements here in the Valley.
